Subhajit Das
Programme Manager, Tripura
During his fellowship with the Kshamtalaya Foundation in Udaipur, Rajasthan, Subhajit gained his first experience as a teacher, working in rural government schools for two years. This opportunity allowed him to interact with a diverse set of people, discuss various issues, and gain valuable insights. The need for education to bring awareness to society became evident to him, inspiring him to delve deeper into the education sector in India. He focused on building a bridge between schools and communities through local leadership and enhancing the capacity of government school teachers in pedagogy and well-being. Additionally, he supported youth through Social Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEEL) sessions to develop strengths in body literacy, emotional literacy, and resiliency through daily practices.
Before this, Subhajit completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, West Bengal. Currently, at Adhyayan Foundation, he works on building the capacity of school and complex leaders, mentor teachers, and BRP and CRPs in conducting cluster, block, and district-level meetings with the Government of Tripura.
