Our team has grown over the last couple of years and we are spread out across India. While the field teams are stationed on site, our field support team also largely works remotely from their respective homes.

Arunachal Pradesh

Maling Jangmu
Deputy State Coordinator

Maling’s passion for education ignited with her first step of volunteering with Umeed – A Drop of Hope, where she visited slums in the Laxmi Nagar area of Delhi to teach kids.

After working with various nonprofit organizations, including SOS Children’s Villages of India, Maling cultivated a diverse skill set. As a District Coordinator, she developed expertise in team management, project documentation, monitoring, and evaluation and also focused on creating a conducive environment for livelihood and capacity building. Networking with the Labour Department of Faridabad and ensuring the visibility of entitlements for migrant workers were also part of her responsibilities. With her experience of handling the operations and monitoring of the Migrants Resilience Collaborative Project in Faridabad and also her work with Jhamtse Gatsal Children’s Community, she has honed herr collaboration skills, developed a people-centric nature, and compassion as well as her communication abilities, enabling her to effectively engage with stakeholders and drive positive change.

Maling is driven to contribute her talents and expertise to the smooth functioning of Adhyayan’s programme in the East Kameng District, where she wishes to leverage her skills in innovation and build strong professional relationships for the benefit of the learners.

Beatrice Chopra
Programme Manager

As a Programme Manager at Adhyayan Foundation, she’s on a mission to drive positive change in primary schools. Beatrice’s week includes visits to selected primary schools and introducing innovative pedagogical strategies to boost foundational literacy skills. She’s a mentor to teachers and school leadership, driving improvements and conducting complex meetings to ensure school growth.
She steps into her role with boundless enthusiasm, dedicated to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes in our district. With a background in Political Science and Early Childhood Care and Education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the table.

Before joining us at Adhyayan, Beatrice honed her skills as an educator. She’s been pivotal in lesson planning, curriculum execution, and fostering strong parent-school communication at the school where she served as an educator.
With a heart dedicated to community development, Beatrice has rolled up her sleeves to work with marginalized children, advocate for childcare, and empower families. Her diverse experience and fluency in English, Hindi, Tenyidie, and Nagamese make her a fantastic communicator across all backgrounds.

Hengam Riba
Programme Manager
Hengam is a passionate development professional and an aspiring social science researcher. She holds a post-graduate degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. Her career has been a diverse journey, spanning NGOs and government bodies at the grassroots level. Fluent in multiple regional languages, her expertise lies in women’s rights, indigenous communities, social media advocacy, environmental issues, and education. She is a recipient of the Laadli Media and Advertisement Award and, is currently actively engaged in a movie project as the director, exploring gender and race complexities in Delhi. As a Programme Manager at Adhyayan, she leverages her deep understanding of Arunachal Pradesh’s socio-cultural landscape and tribal studies to make a difference in East Kameng. In her leisure time, Hengam immerses herself in research, exploring the rich cultural tapestry of Arunachal’s tribes. She is also an avid music enthusiast and enjoys capturing life’s moments through videography. At Adhyayan, she aims to blend her diverse experiences to drive meaningful change and inspire innovation in education.
Anurag Shukla
State Coordinator

Anurag Shukla is currently the state coordinator for Arunachal Pradesh. He has been a public policy researcher for a decade now. He has completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and has been a visiting scholar at Hiroshima University, Japan. He has worked previously with organizations such as Pratham, Azim Premji Foundation, CFAR, Times Group, and Business Standard. He has also published research papers in international journals such as the London Review of Education, Education Technology Research and Development, Teacher Plus, etc. Adhyayan’s work of directly working with schools is something that brought him here, and he aims to understand the school system better and how policy changes are shaping the system. Beyond his interests in education, he loves reading non-fiction books, traveling, and playing badminton.

Rukmo Umpo
Programme Manager

Rukmo commenced his professional journey in the BPO sector after completing his graduation. He earned a Master’s degree in Commerce and an MPhil from Rajiv Gandhi University. Before joining Adhyayan, he served as the District Programme Coordinator for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. His brief tenure as a Programme Coordinator for PMMVY deepened his passion for working towards societal welfare.

At Adhyayan, Rukmo found the opportunity to work in the education sector, a field that has always called out to him, enabling him to contribute to a positive change in society.

In his leisure time, he engages in various handicraft activities, attempts to play the guitar, and indulges in his love for travel and exploration. He particularly enjoys exploring new places on his motorbike, nurturing a dream to traverse the entire Indian Subcontinent after his retirement.

Delhi

Kavita anand
Founder Director
Kavita Anand is catalyzing a committed learning community of educators across India, to transform the learning of students. For more than three decades as an educator, researcher, funder, school, and system leader, and now edupreneur, she has worked towards ensuring a good school for every child. Her work has taken her to every state in India. Kavita’s work in the Aga Khan Education Service, India, and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust was a launchpad for her play school, Kidz@Play, and for setting up and leading the now renowned K10 School, Shishuvan for private management in Mumbai. Over the last decade with her partner Spokey Wheeler, Kavita provided support for The UK Open University’s (OU) programmes ‘Teacher Education through School-Based Support’, (TESS-India); ‘English in Action’ (EIA) in Bangladesh; and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy for 266 schools of Zimbabwe. Kavita was part of the international delivery team for the School Leadership Development Programme (SLDP) curriculum with the National College of Teaching and Leadership,(NCTL) Nottingham and the National University for Education, Planning and Administration (NUEPA), which trained 7000 government school leaders across 5 States of India. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), UK, Kavita was awarded an Ashoka Fellowship in 2015 for her single-minded determination to improve the quality of education in India.
Manju Gupta
Senior Trainer
Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura
Manju Gupta is the recipient of the National Teachers Award 1999, the Pride of India Award, the Inspiring Educators Award, and Acharya Siromani. She has over 47 years of diverse work experience out of which for 28 years is as Principal of Schools with CBSE, Cambridge, and IBO Curriculums. She worked at DPS-Haridwar, Navrachana-Sama, Navrachana International, and Vadodara as Founder Principal and she just retired as Principal of Kothari International School, Noida. She briefly worked with the CBSE Academic cell too. Manju has completed her Master’s in Physics, B.Ed., and certifications in Strategic Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Curriculum development, People development, and Entrepreneurial Skill development. She is a trainer with Pearson, CBSE, IBO, Cambridge International, Image Consultants, -create, Lion Quest, Intel- teach to Future, etc. She is a strong advocate of high, sustainable educational standards & corporate responsibility in the management of schools and leaves no stone unturned to enhance “the Learning and Happiness Quotient” of the people in her sphere of Influence.
Ayushi Roy
Programme Manager

Ayushi is a public policy enthusiast with elaborative experience in the field of development sector with a major emphasis on child advocacy, mental well-being, and education. She pursued her graduation in English Literature and is an ardent reader. She has been working with children for almost 5 years and is a firm believer in ‘justice is what love looks like in public’. Ayushi believes that every child deserves a umpteenth number of chances at life and education is one of those many chances that can enable them to change everything, hence she lives by – “The world is changed because you are made of ivory and gold. The curves of your lips rewrite history.” At Adhyayan, she’s working towards striving for access to foundational literacy in government schools and wants to promote equitable outcomes for every child.

Archana Lall
Subject Matter Expert
Archana has been a primary school teacher with over 18 years of experience. She has taught at some of the best schools in India, including The Valley School in Bangalore, The Shri Ram School in Delhi, and The Bombay International School in Mumbai. Post her teaching career, Archana has been conducting read-aloud sessions for primary and pre-primary school students. She recently conducted a series of sessions for Grade V students at the Indian School in New Delhi. Archana holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Kamla Nehru College, Delhi University, and a postgraduate Diploma in Early Childhood from Modern Montessori International, London. At Adhyayan, she supports our Delhi programme as a subject matter expert.

Goa

Nitin Padte
Senior Trainer
Nitin Padte has been an educator for over 25 years and has been a teacher of Economics, Human Rights, History, English, Journalism, and Photography in six international schools in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. He has also been the Principal of three schools and Director of four schools in Mumbai offering different curricula. Teaching and engaging with students have been the mainstays of his career in education. Along with teaching he has also been a sports coach, part of a peer counselling programme, and worked with students in residential life for six years. Within the International Baccalaureate, he has been an examiner, moderator, workshop leader, school evaluation team leader, consultant, and examination proctor. Nitin has also been a journalist for 14 years with some of the leading newspapers in the country, including the Times and the Indian Express groups, and his writing has focused on environmental awareness, nuclear energy, and education. He has written a textbook on Indian History for Orient Longman. He is passionate about reading, sports, education, and environmental awareness. He is presently a consulting editor for The Kodaikanal Chronicle, a bi-monthly magazine that focuses on environmental issues.
Sudarshan Kasbe
State Coordinator
Sudarshan Kasbe graduated from the Tata Institute for Social Sciences with a B.A. and M.A. in Development Studies in 2018. Motivated by his challenges in getting a quality education, Sudarshan is passionate about ensuring equal education access for youth from marginalized communities. Having grown up without the privilege of those who belong to upper castes, Sudarshan is interested in creating a level playing ground for students to develop their academic, social, and emotional skills. Through his jobs, he has learned the importance of involving multiple stakeholders, from local teachers to high-level bureaucrats, to ensure the effectiveness of a well-intentioned policy. He aims to research and work in education policy in developing countries. To this end, he is passionate about quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, leadership and management, and community-building.
Sharmila Kamble

Sharmila started her professional journey in schools of Maharashtra for about a decade where she managed administrative tasks and also taught students. Her life’s course changed when she lost her brother and eventually took on the responsibility of her home. Her focus on health changed in the wake of the pandemic and she offered her assistance to Siolim Health Centre to monitor COVID-19 patients. Her passion for yoga took shape in this time and she went on to learn yoga and jal yoga. She passionately serves her community by facilitating yoga sessions every morning. At Adhyayan, she endeavors to be a part of an organization whose work directly impacts children. She is passionate about organizing and getting things done! She enjoys spending time with children playing and teaching, listening to music, and being in nature for exploration.
Suchita Nayak

Suchita is a graduate of Statistics from the University of Bombay. Being a ‘heart follower’ by nature, Suchita strongly believes in pursuing what gives her happiness and fulfillment. Patient, flexible, versatile, assertive, and able to maintain a sense of humor under pressure, she has held many portfolios in her career in various arenas. Besides having worked as Admin Manager for Charles Correa Foundation in Goa, her previous assignments include working as a corporate trainer with Zensar Technologies, Pune, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mumbai. Her love for children, and the opportunity to make a strong contribution to their literacy, is what attracted her to join Adhyayan Foundation. She spends her free time reading and gardening and loves spoiling her pet cat, CC.
Shradha Dalal

Career Aware Programme
Shradha completed her education in BSc in home science with a specialization in food and nutrition. Soon after, she joined an NGO called Mineral Foundation of Goa as their Social Officer and worked with them for 15 years looking after their social programmes in the fields of health, education, and women empowerment. Post this, she worked with an education company for 2 years. At Adhyayan Foundation, she looks after the Career Aware programme in Goa. She has traveled all over Goa as her job demands it, and that is what she enjoys the most about it. Shradha is a family-oriented person and has to manage both work and home. She also loves gardening and spending time with her twins. She strongly believes in divine interventions and always prays before she starts her day.
Bhakti Gawas

Bhakti has completed 10+2, courses in computer application, D.el.ed and now completing her graduation externally. She has worked as a Personal tutor for 2 years which includes Primary level and Middle school grades. Her designation describes developing skills in students and making them career aware based on the factors majorly include the interest of the students. She likes to travel. She wants to create change in youngsters who can lead themselves to a better future. While working with Adhyayan She is also finding out about herself and gaining a lot of knowledge.
Jessica D'Costa

Jessica is a graduate with a degree in Arts, majoring in Psychology and History from Rosary College of Commerce and Arts. With a passion for both traveling and working with children, Jessica has explored different career paths. She has two years of experience as a teacher in Rajasthan, where she undoubtedly gained valuable skills in education and interpersonal communication. Additionally, Jessica has also worked as a receptionist at Camilson Beach Resort in Goa. This experience allowed her to develop her customer service and organizational abilities in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Currently, Jessica is a programme associate for the Career Aware programme with Adhyayan Quality Education Foundation in Goa. Her role involves assisting the younger generation in making informed career decisions. By providing valuable insights and information, Jessica aims to empower and guide them towards successful career paths. Her commitment to helping others and her love for education make her a valuable asset to the foundation and the students she works with.
Utkarsha Tari

Utkarsha has completed her post-graduation in chemistry (MSC Chemistry)and also bachelor’s in education (B. Ed) She has one year of teaching experience and has also worked as a Quality Control Officer in Cipla Pharmaceutical limited for 4 years. Utkarsha loves teaching and also to spend time with children, she spends her free time gardening, reading, and cooking. Presently working in Adhyayan Foundation to orient teachers on GN App and capacity building of stakeholders on GN App as a tool to achieve FLN Goals

Latiksha Gawas

Latiksha, a graduate of St. Xavier’s College, has also obtained a degree in education (D. El. Ed). With prior experience as an LIC agent for five years, she has developed valuable skills in field work. Latiksha has a natural affinity for being around children and finds joy in their company. Additionally, she has a passion for travelling and exploring new places. Currently at Adhyayan, Latiksha’s primary responsibilities involve orienting teachers and building the capacity of stakeholders as part of the Manthan programme to achieve FLN goals. Through her work, Latiksha aims to empower educators and stakeholders with the necessary knowledge and skills and contribute to the foundation’s mission.
Rahul Gaonkar

Rahul has successfully obtained a Master’s degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) from Bharti Vidyapeeth Pune. With four years of experience as a physical education teacher in a school, Rahul has honed his skills in teaching and mentoring students. Driven by his passion for social work, Rahul dedicated his time as a volunteer for Nehru Yuva Kendra, actively contributing to the development of young individuals. However, in the wake of the pandemic, Rahul observed significant learning gaps among students. Motivated to make a difference, he decided to join the Adhyayan Foundation. His primary focus is to enhance the capacity of teachers so that they can effectively bridge the educational gaps caused by the pandemic. Rahul thoroughly enjoys being on the ground, engaging with students through the teaching of various outdoor games. He also finds solace in exploring different places and immersing himself in the beauty of nature during his free time.

Manjita Shetgaonkar

Manjita has done her post-graduation in physics. She grew interested in environment conservation and sustainability when she came across the topic of environmental physics while studying. She worked for a sea turtle trust as a project associate for North Goa. At Adhyayan, Manjita plays a key role in furthering the goals of the Read Aloud programme in Goa. She likes gardening, reading, hiking, and educating children on basic life skills and the importance of nature. She also watches documentaries and TED talks when free.
Sakshi Vengurlekar

Sakshi has completed her graduation is BSC in Microbiology from St. Xavier’s College Mapusa. This is her first job. She enjoys spending time with children playing and teaching. She likes to travel.
Stephie Madurai

Stephie has been working since she was 19 years old. She has completed her BA (Mass Media) and Library Educator’s Course (LEC). She has worked as a Senior Resource Person at Bookworm Children’s Library, where she conducted Read Alouds for children and even for adults in schools and communities. Her work majorly revolved around creating reading interest in children and opening up the world of stories. She has also been a stage theatre artist at Space Theatre Ensemble in productions dealing with social and environmental awareness. Stephie has performed and conducted workshops while traveling in different states of India. Throughout her work experience, she has been able to do what she has liked doing and is grateful to all the wonderful people she has met, been supported by, and worked with all these 11 years. Currently, at Adhyayan, she works on building the capacity of teachers and volunteers in conducting Read Alouds in the Government Primary Schools of Goa. She is passionate about many things and enjoys acting, telling stories, and filming.
Bhavna Lakhan

Systemic School Improvement Programme

Bhavna completed post post-graduation MA in Education from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. Being there in the educational area for the last 2 years, her focus is to build the capacity of educators or people involved in the education sector for holistic development of the education system. She is keen on understanding and improving various teaching-learning methods in the classroom setting with limited resources. Apart from education-related literature she also loves to read about gender issues to build an understanding of inclusivity. Earlier she worked with Kotak Education Foundation where she built the capacity of school Leaders in personal and instruction leadership. The teaching of Buddha fascinates her and she also completed an 8-month residential course at Nagaloka, Nagpur. When not working Bhavna spends her time playing with Rubik’s Cube, Chess and spending time with Nature.

Surekha Vadyekar

After completing her Post Graduation in Commerce (Finance) from Goa University, Surekha joined the Government Organisation – Juvenile Justice Board which was her first experience in the court environment and then moved to The Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education where she managed the academics department. This was where the various aspects of the education sector were first introduced to her. 

Karnataka

Anushri Alva
CEO and Founding Team Member

Anushri has worked as an Educator for the last 14 years across East Asia, India, and the US on various Education-based programs. Since 2017, she has been a founding team member and CEO of Adhyayan Foundation.

Anushri received her postgraduate degree in International and Comparative Education from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Hong Kong. She is an alum of the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship’s Women-led accelerator cohort and is an organizing committee member of Teachers College’s India chapter.

She has worked on education in the contexts of military violence and refugees, gender-based violence, and public education and governance.

Varsha Kumar
Programme Manager
Varsha is a psychologist who has completed her Masters from Jain University, Bangalore. She has more than 4 years of experience in teaching, training, and psycho-education across all age groups. She loves learning and believes that the experiential journey of life is the best teacher. She has worked in schools, universities, and corporates facilitating important and sensitive topics like Menstrual Health and hygiene, Sexuality Education, and Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. With a diploma in counselling, she has also worked as a therapist where process psychology is her go-to approach for healing and wellness. Varsha strongly believes in the limitless potential of human beings for change and advocates equality in education across all intersectionalities of society.
Prabhu Rathod
Content Manager
Prabhu Rathod is the founder of Zameer Foundation and a passionate Video Editor (Content Creator). He believes in constructively contributing to bring about a positive change in society. Clubbing his passion with this belief, he has previously created videos for not-for-profit organizations like Down To Earth in Mumbai, Peepal Farm near Dharamshala, RAPID in Dharwad, Shiksharth in Sukma, Vidiyal Learning Centre in Tirunelveli while pursuing his Commerce Degree from Mumbai University. He has done a design and visualization course from Arena Animation. This is what brought him to Adhyayan as a volunteer with the Karnataka Team in 2021. In April 2023, he joined the Adhyayan Foundation as a Jr. Content Manager. He works actively with the Karnataka and Goa teams. Outside of work, Prabhu is an animal lover and enjoys travelling.
Atulya Pathak
Knowledge Manager
Atulya completed a postgraduate degree in Development from Azim Premji University in 2021. Before this, she studied for her undergraduate degree in history at the University of Delhi. In the last 1.5 years, Atulya had been a devoted teacher in an international school in Bangalore but feeling disconnected from the social sector and civil society she decided to gravitate towards civil society. She also spent years educating children from underserved communities in New Delhi and Raipur and these experiences have shaped her to strongly advocate for educational equality for all. Atulya is extremely passionate about impact-oriented action, and democratic learning processes and enjoys writing as a pursuit.

Maharashtra

Nita Luthria Row
Executive Director
Nita’s passion for education led her to pursue a career in teaching after initially starting out in hospitality and marketing. Prior to joining the social sector, she worked at the Bombay International School first as a teacher and eventually, as the Head of Junior School. During her tenure at BIS, Nita was an active advocate of inclusion and community service. Nita has been associated with Adhyayan Quality Education Services since 2016, working as an assessor and conducting technology workshops for Adhyayan’s partner schools. She also serves on the boards of Qimpro Foundation and Down to Earth India (an NGO working with the Cuffe Parade community). Nita was selected by ASCD, to which Adhyayan is affiliated, to join the Emerging Leader Class of 2021. In her free time, Nita enjoys reading, sketchnoting, playing word games, baking sourdough bread and taking long walks.
Bhavna Shah
CFO
Bhavna has done her MBA in Finance from Osmania University, Hyderabad. She has vast experience in budget management, setting up accounting systems, and monitoring fundraising targets. She has also been a part of Shishuvan, Mumbai’s founding team and been the go-to person for all their financial matters. The crux of her job at the Foundation is to see that the finances and expenses are accounted for accurately, compliant with the laws and regulations applicable and that there is transparent reporting to all our stakeholders. She is extremely good with numbers and finds purpose working in the social sector because she sees that there is a need to reduce the gap between haves and have-nots, especially in the field of education as this affects the coming generation. Beyond work, Bhavna loves travelling, gardening, and pottery painting.
Tiasha Banerjee
Deputy CEO

During her Ffellowship with Teach for India in Pune, Tiasha got first-hand experience of being a teacher in a low-income private school for 2 years. It pushed her to explore this field and build her knowledge and understanding of the development sector in India. This led to doing a Masters in Development from Azim Premji University, where with a diverse set of people, issues to discuss, and insight to gain, Tiasha was able to gain an interdisciplinary perspective on this sector. Before this, she completed her Bachelor’s in Mass Media (specializing in Journalism) from Sophia College for Women, Mumbai. Working in different capacities with several not-for-profit organizations across the country, she realized the vastness of the fundraising world and the importance of it for any organization, leading her to join AQEF. She is passionate about finding the best brownies in town and exploring local delicacies in restaurants wherever she goes.

Annette D’Souza
Accountant
Annette holds a degree in Banking and Insurance. She has completed her MCom in Accountancy. She worked under a CA for a while and later in Admin & Operations with Adhyayan Quality Education Services. She currently works as an Accountant at Adhyayan Foundation and is an Intern Assessor. She is also part of the Social-Emotional Ethical Learning Program run by Adhyayan Services in low-cost schools in Mumbai and Pune. She has been a part of 5 reviews with Adhyayan including those of low-cost schools.
Aniket Gurav
Senior Content Manager

Aniket has a Diploma from the FX School of Cinematography. Through his work with varied clients over the years, he has broadened his skills in storytelling. His role at Adhyayan involves visiting good schools and capturing their best practices on video which can be shared with peer schools for continuing the learning and improvement process. Traveling to remote and beautiful places, talking to the stakeholders, and listening to their experiences are some of the highlights of his work day. He has a love for swimming and a passion for capturing beautiful moments with his camera and these are the things that keep him going.

Haenik Kamdar
Senior Project Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation

While interning with the technology team at Teach For India during the final year of his Engineering course, Haenik came across their Fellowship program and never looked back. He taught 90 high school students in a low-income classroom in Mumbai for two years and stayed back for an additional third year to teach 42 students in a different community of the city. After graduating from the program, he worked on various educational initiatives such as Mastree by Academy and CodeChef for Schools in the capacity of Sr. Curriculum Designer and an Educational Consultant respectively. Having spent a year in the education technology space, he joined Adhyayan and works on all things data. Beyond work, Haenik enjoys cycling and cooking daily and travelling by train to experience India.

Chirag Bhatia
Manager, Monitoring & Evaluation

Chirag embarked on his professional journey in Auditing & Compliance before venturing into the dynamic realm of Business & Corporate affairs, within the Accounting, Finance, and Operations verticals. His core strength and key area of responsibility over the years has been in the domain of Data and operations Analysis, FP&A, and Management Information Reporting. During a phase in this period, Chirag devoted his weekends to volunteering, which kindled his enthusiasm for teaching and a renewed appreciation for schools and a simple life. This interest led him to transition into the education sector, assuming the roles of both a teacher and a versatile resource for an NGO-operated school in a picturesque village on the outskirts of Mumbai. While balancing these dual responsibilities, Chirag gradually found his footing in the Social Sector, which led him to his expedition with Adhyayan.

Divya, driven by her passion for voice, choice, and safe spaces, embarked on the Teach For India Fellowship after experiencing an epiphany during her volunteering stints at CRY. Teaching students in a low-income private school for two years deepened her understanding of what makes children thrive. Recognizing her love for cultivating a culture of joy and learning, she chose to extend her impact as a Program Manager. In this role, she coached, mentored, and trained Fellows in their 2-year journey while building a citywide sense of community through several projects. Now at AQEF, Divya is your go-to person for all things related to people & culture.

Bijan Singh Singha

A computer science graduate from West Bengal, Bijan has been a Teach for India Ffellow from Pune and has significant years of experience working in the government school ecosystem. He has worked in a diverse set of roles in the sector, starting as a teacher, then working on school development, and later as a curriculum designer in the Ed-tech sector. He likes to travel to new places, meet new people, and have new experiences. He also likes to watch movies and loves to play cricket and football.

Atanu Das
Programme Manager
Atanu is a social worker, is passionate about community development and committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others. He obtained his Master’s degree in Social Work from Visva Bharati University, where he honed his skills in community development, project management, and social research. Since the beginning of his career in 2017, Atanu has worked with various organizations in the development sector, including NGOs and government agencies. He has collaborated with different stakeholders, including communities, local government units, and private sector organizations, to implement projects aimed at improving the quality of life of marginalized communities. Apart from his professional pursuits, Atanu has a keen interest in sports and travel. He enjoys playing football with his friends and exploring new places whenever he gets the chance. He believes that traveling and meeting new people is an enriching experience.

Prosanjit is a BA-LLB graduate from ICFAI University Tripura with diverse legal experience, including internships at Dhalai District & Sessions Court, West District Court, and Sanghadeep Foundation NGO. Passionate about exploring new places on his biking adventures, he has traveled extensively across states like Sikkim, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Assam, documenting these adventures through film. At Adhyayan, Prosanjit works on assisting government schools in their development journey, aiming to empower them as effective problem solvers within their communities. He is eager to delve into social issues, create impact, and forge meaningful connections along the way.

Biplab Deb hails from Khowai, Tripura, and is a graduate of DDMC College. With a fervent passion for social development, he has dedicated his career to making a positive impact. Biplab has garnered experience through his work on HIV awareness projects and as an Assistant Manager at HDFC Bank. Motivated by a desire to uplift underserved communities, particularly in the realm of education, Biplab aspires to contribute significantly to social development initiatives. Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds joy in traveling, connecting with diverse individuals, and sharing his experiences as a YouTuber.

Roddur is a post-graduate in Political Science with International Relations from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. Roddur was raised by artist-educator parents who enabled him to generate his curiosity in various art forms and social issues. He is passionate about community-based research that enabled him to relate to the practical world through various political and sociological theories during his diverse internships. Roddur’s active people skills help him specialize in stakeholder mobilization, management, and project execution. He is a firm believer in ‘Trust the process ’, and thrives with perseverance and determination to achieve his goals and aspirations. When not working, Roddur spends his time reading about current affairs, listening to music, planning treks, playing football, or looking up various documentary films.
