Read Aloud Programme in Maharashtra

In 2024, Adhyayan Foundation launched its read-aloud program in partnership with the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation and Sajag Trust in Thane district, Maharashtra. This program, supported by Ashapura Aromas Pvt. Ltd., aims to train teachers in KDMC schools in Thane to use the read-aloud as a pedagogical intervention to enhance literacy outcomes over two years.

Program’s Aim

As part of the program, reading corners have been set up in 50 municipal schools and the teachers are being encouraged to use the read-aloud and related activities to enhance vocabulary, comprehension and help children discover the joy of reading.
