Sumit Kulkarni

Sumit was born in Barshi in district of Solapur region of Maharashtra. He has completed his Masters in Education from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. During his masters, he did 3 field internship in the domain of Education. During 1st internship, he observed school culture, took interviews of students, teachers, District officer, etc to understand Overall school structure. During 2nd internship, he worked with 1 Experiential school, Disha India School, Padha located in Harayana. During 3rd internship he taught mathematics to 3rd standard students of one Government school of Sirohi district of Rajasthan. With these experiences, Sumit realized that education plays a key role in societal change. He loves working with children, teachers and the community. After Education he selected for TMRE (Tarabai Modak Rural Education Fellowship) sponsored by QUEST. He views Project coordinator at Adhyayan Foundation, as an opportunity to develop his own skills and capacity to improve learning experiences for teachers and students. His hobbies include playing chess, badminton, reading, traveling, and diary writing.
