MANTHAN: Gooru Navigator

The focus of the Manthan program is to make students and teachers into lifelong learners by instituting a Competency Based Education that will focus on learning outcomes.

Program Aims

The outcomes of this program so far have included:

1840 students demonstrated a gain in competencies related to foundational literacy and numeracy.
1,050 primary school teachers were trained to use the app, and 140 started to use it regularly to plan lessons. 52 teachers were identified as champions.
At the block and cluster level, 140 Block Resource Centre Coordinators, Block Resource Persons, Cluster Resource Persons, and Additional District Education Inspectors were oriented and trained to support the teachers.
A statewide baseline assessment was conducted covering 4000 students as the state adopted this program to support foundational literacy and numeracy.
